Yesterday Michael turned 11! It is very hard for me to believe that my baby is now 11. We didn’t really do much for his birthday – we hope to celebrate by going out to dinner tonight and I will let him have a few friends over for a sleepover in a couple of weeks (Fall Break is not a good time because many of his friends go out of town). He had ice cream cake with his “adopted” grandparents yesterday (the grandparents in the complex who I’ve written about before) and cake with Chris, David and I.

What a lovely post. I have a younger sister who just turned 10, which makes me feel very old indeed (different mums, hence the large age gap).
Just a little tip though from one blogger to another, which you don’t have to implement if you don’t want to ,but I find it helps with page views.
When you write your posts, there’s an option at the top to switch to ‘HTML’, when you have done this, there is a ‘more’ button which you can insert. This is like a ‘read more’ insert which means that your readers have to click through to the post to read the rest.
Although not everyone’s cup of tea, it means that you can get more clicks on your posts!
Hope this is of some help as I really benefited from someone showing me! 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion. Blogging is very new to me and I appreciate any comments and suggestions. Honestly, I wouldn’t care if no one read my blog (besides my mom and dad – who have gone out of their comfort zones to subscribe by email), because I started it to keep people updated on my husband’s condition (he has Stage IV Lung Cancer) and what was going on in our lives. However, it is VERY exciting when someone finds my blog and subscribes (and comments). So, please keep the suggestions coming!

Yes you can change where it goes. If you delete what you have done, then click where you want it to go before pressing the ‘more’ button if that makes sense?
